As a former "trailing spouse", Kathy knows what it is like to be faced with a move to a new city, state or country. This first hand experience of moving from Michigan to Virginia to Greece to New England to Texas and finally to Raleigh, has allowed her to both understand and help her clients with such relocations. Kathy sold real estate for The Barrows Company-Prudential in Simsbury, Ct. and for Ebby Haliday Realtors in Dallas, Tx. She joined York Properties, now Prudential York Simpson Underwood, in January of 1990, where she has continually been awarded the YSU Award of Excellence and has consistently earned "Top Producer" status in her real estate career. Kathy has been named to the "TOP 30" list in the Triangle Business Journal, has won the MAME gold award twice as the general brokerage agent with the greatest volume of new construction sales, and has been a continual member of the International Council and the Top Producers Council of the RRAR.
As a mother and a former French teacher, Kathy has focused her volunteer efforts in the area of education. She has served at all levels...from chairperson of her daughter's preschool committee to co-president of her high school PTA, to community liason with the school board. Her great honor was being named "Volunteer of the Year" by the Wake County PTA Council...the same year she was awarded Chairman's Council status in her real estate career. Her involvement in education has been a great benefit to both her local and relocating clients over the years.
Kathy is known by her clients and co-workers as a dedicated, knowledgeable, hard working professional, who believes in attention to detail and follow-up. This work ethic is shared by her husband and real estate partner, Bob "Sandy" Kidd, and is the reason for their success. Approximately 90% of their business is the result of a personnal referral from a former client.
Feel free to call or email Kathy to schedule an appointment to discuss your real estate needs.
